Perilla-Korean Shiso
Perilla frutescens
Perilla- Korean Shiso are known for their broad leaf perilla. The leaves are two-toned, with a vivid green upper surface and a light purple underside. They have a distinct taste that is somewhere between mint and basil, and they're commonly used as a wrap for sushi and fried foods. As a salad/garnish microgreen, it's fantastic. Warm temperatures encourage plants to grow quickly and provide the best colour.
