Purple Peacock Sprouting Broccoli

Brassica oleracea

This open-pollinated gorgeous cross between a green broccoli and colorful kales, has a sweet broccoli flavor.  After harvesting the green to purple head, you will get an abundant harvest of side shoots and beautiful serrated kale like leaves. These large plants can get up to 2-3 ft tall and 2-3 ft wide, and with their purple leaves, will be sure to turn the heads of your fellow community garden members. Nutrient-dense, just like other broccoli. Full of potassium, vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin E, A, oodles of B vitamins, potassium, magnesium, manganese, copper, iron, zinc, protein, and the list goes on! As with all broccoli, eat the leaves, stems, and flower heads.
