Lettuce- Okayama Buttercrunch
Lactuca sativa
This Japanese Buttercrunch lettuce is known for its smooth texture and flavor, with small, loose leaves. It is part of the larger Butterhead lettuce family and considered one of the easiest lettuce varieties to grow. This Buttercrunch lettuce is heat-resistant, quick to germinate and slow to bolt, which means less bitter yields. Plant 10-12 inches apart from Fall through Spring. I'm reading that it can be grown year-round in the Tropics, but I do not personally have any experience with this yet. We are starting some seeds outdoors and some indoors this week to see if this is true (6/21/21) -
