Elephantopus elatus

 This fun Florida native is an overwintering perennial that flowers in the spring through fall seasons. Elephant’s foot prefers sandhills and flatwood areas but is native to all parts of Florida. The plant prefers moist soil but can tolerate dry spells. Full sun all the way to shade and part shade suits this plant perfectly. This plant displays clusters of small white and lavender flowers and can grow around 2 to 3 feet tall. This flower is part of the daisy family, Asteraceae. All types of pollinators are attracted to this plant, but bees are especially fond of the cute flowers.
