Ginger
Zingiber officianale
This is the most known and used ginger among the varieties. This plant can grow up to 4 feet tall and provides rhizomes that are the part commonly used in cuisine across the world. Rhizomes can be harvested young for a milder flavor known as baby or green ginger. Or it can be harvested when mature for a more robust flavor when cooking. Ginger is in the same family, the Zingiberaceae family, as turmeric and cardamom! Research has shown that ginger can be helpful with nausea and vomiting and is popular amongst pregnant women. Ginger plants put out cone-like structures that display small flowers, but ginger grown in containers rarely blooms.

“So glad Plants were packaged very well as delivery driver did not read the live plants notice. Without the extra packaging the plants would not have survived.”
