Japanese mature mustard belongs to Brassicaceae family of plants also known as kyona mizuna. It's name is originated from the kyoto area and it is commonly grown in this region. Heat and cold tolerant, has long slender stems having dark-green texture with serrated leaves. The most beneficial thing is that you can harvest it at any stage and after cutting it can grow again. Mostly used for salad and to make your dish delicious and good looking. Excellent for ohitashi, hariharinabe pickling and salads. Mizuna and watermelon salad, with sunflower shoots, sunflower seeds, and a raspberry vinaigrette is out of this world.
