Hailstone Radish
Raphanus raphanistrum subs. sativus
(25-30 days) Open-pollinated. We don't really know how old this variety is, but we have found it in old seed catalogs, dating back to the early 1900's. In them, the Hailstone Radish, or White Button/Globe radish is described as round, smooth, snowy-white with a short tender taproot. Produces crisp juicy roots 1" in diameter that hold well and have some heat. Small tops, but unlike other radishes, bunching is not recommended. Please follow proper plant spacing. These are hailed across the board, as one of the best tasting radish. Try roasting them with their greens... yummy 😋
About 1,800-3,200 seeds/oz.
