Glandularia tampensis

This gorgeous Florida native plant was once found abundantly in disturbed, sandy, live oak-palmetto and pine-palmetto woodlands near the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts of central Florida. Now it is considered endangered in the wild, although largely propagated and sold in nurseries.

It blooms sporadically all year round, with lovely clusters of lavender/pink flowers, and its lovely light green foliage seems to walk around other plants in the garden, creating a delightful ground-cover effect.

It prefers part shade or can take more sun with irrigation, and is mostly grown as a short-lived perennial.
