Herbaceous plant with bright orange to yellow flowers. Great for attracting pollinators to the garden. Grows to be about 2 ft tall. The flower petals can be dried and used in place of saffron in dishes, as well as medicinally for topical use, with it's great anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antiviral properties. Has been used historically to treat measles, smallpox, sore throats, and for dressing wounds. And, fun fact: Calendula is the traditional flower for birthdays in October. It is said to symbolize sympathy and sorrow. Cheers!
