This variety features pale lavender flower petals, and green stems/leaves.

African Blue Basil is a must-have in the garden, as it blooms profusely, and is an excellent pollinator plant. This very fragrant perennial basil has green leaves with light purple to pinkish-white flowers. Although it blooms continuously, it does not go to seed, and can only grow from cuttings, which is what makes it perennial. The leaves, stems, and flowers are all edible, and can be used in culinary preparation as a seasoning as well as to make a delicious pesto.
