This plant belongs to Australia, New Zealand, U.K, South Asia, Malaysia and South Africa, but grows great throughout the US. Along with tomatoes, potatoes, and peppers, eggplant belongs to the Solanacea family of plants. They are a great source of minerals and vitamins such as folic acids, fibers, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, copper, niacin, thiamine, vitamin C, B-6, K and more. Here in Central Florida, these Eggplants do best when the weather is comfortable outside.They are a bit of a Goldielocks plant.
