Spinach- Giant Nobel (Heirloom)
Spinacea oleracia
Giant Nobel spinach is an early maturing heirloom that is a strong plant and grows rapidly. As far as a "regular" spinach, Giant Nobel tolerates warmer temperatures, is slow to bolt, and is famous for it's giant leaves that can grow up to 25 inches. It's heat tolerance and the fact that it can be harvested multiple times throughout the season, makes Giant Nobel a great spinach to plant in succession from fall through to early spring. It produces long multi lobed, smooth leaves that are wide and dense, and has tender stems that are also edible. Giant Nobel spinach has a subtly sweet, savory flavor and is a succulent green spinach.
