Lima Bean-King of the Garden
Phaseolus lunatus HEIRLOOM
This plant is a favorite pod, with cream colored seeds. Like a pole bean, it does require vertical trellising. These beans are large with 4-6 per pod. They have a honey-like taste, are a reliable grower, and can be stored by drying, freezing, or canning. Production continues approximately to the end of the season. These legumes are low-glycemic index food and good for diabetic persons, rich in soluble fibers and regulate your blood pressure.
