Darkest red of all the red-tinted lettuces we have, Ruby's medium sized, compact, crisp, sweet green leaves, are marbled with deep red on the top half of the leaf. It is fairly heat tolerant, slow to bolt, and does not fade or turn bitter in warm weather.
Plant 1/4" deep in rows spaced 18-24 inches apart. Matures in about 53-54 days.
