Pre-order bare-root plants (sold July through October) will typically begin shipping the 1st or 2nd week of October but could be the 3rd or 4th week. If you are new to planting bare-root plants, we have a great Youtube video HERE. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need assistance with planting. I soak the roots overnight before planting. Please understand that the plant's leaves may come dried and brown from shipping, or might be removed completely. Do not be alarmed. I usually cut them off anyway before planting. The crown will push new leaves.

Pre-order 6 pack starts and pre-order 4 inch pot single plants (sold July through October) will ship in November and December respectively.

It's recommended that any pre-order plants are put on their own order. If you would like to order anything else, please place a separate order. Pre-order plants ship separately, when they come in, and the other items ship asap.

Florida Brilliance’ (PPAF) is a short-day strawberry cultivar released by the University of Florida and commercialized in 2018. This cultivar was originally evaluated as breeding selection FL 13.26-134. It originated from a 2013 cross between breeding selection FL 11.31-14 (female parent) and selection FL 10-153 (male parent). ‘Florida Brilliance’ has been tested over several years at the University of Florida Gulf Coast Research and Education Center (GCREC) in Wimauma, FL, at the Florida Strawberry Growers Association (FSGA) headquarters in Dover, FL, and on several commercial farms.

‘Florida Brilliance’ is so named for its attractive fruit, which are glossy and conical in shape. The gloss of the fruit is accentuated by the position of the achenes which are recessed below the fruit surface, creating curvatures that reflect light in many directions. This cultivar maintains a very consistent shape and does not produce any elongated fruit early in the season, which is a weakness of ‘Florida Radiance’ .
