Florida Heirloom Variegated Collards
Brassica oleracea var acephala
(61 days) Open-pollinated. Variegation doesn’t appear until frost. When nights get cold, the plants develop beautiful white ribs for a gorgeous display of contrasting color. They are sweet and tender eating. Florida family heirloom dating back to around 1910 was introduced 1999 by our friends at Southern Exposure. Still shows some variation.
